Punk Goes Acoustic 2

Many may dismiss Punk Goes Acoustic 2 as an emo marketing ploy designed for young boys with guitars wearing their little sisters pants. However, PGA2 is a showcase of several musical talents that extend far beyond the right electronics and auto tune. The diverstiy of bands involved in this project is also nothing to shake a stick at.

Jack's Mannequinn's "Bruised" is musically sound and incredibly catchy, possibly one of the best tracks on the album. McMahon proves that you don't need a half stack to be a good musician. Fans of Silverstein and All American Rejects and Relient K will also be pleased with their bands performances. All Time Low also proves that solid catchy musical tenchniques combined with real vocal talent can create a song worth listening to.

Many fans of metal and techinical forms of music can't seem to appreciate a good song with good lyrics sung from the heart. However, if you can set aside those preconcieved notions, there is a quality album laying in wait. If quality music and understandable lyrical and vocal integrity is emo, sign me up.

Key Tracks: Bruised, Staplegunned, Woe, Red Light Pledge
