Metalcore bands are one thing we have plenty of in the world of metal. However, there is always room for a solid album no matter what the categorization of the music.MENDEED'S latest offering entitled “The Dead Live By Love” is much better then their last release "This War Will Last Forever". The group has gotten much tighter making edits when needed and realizing sometimes less can be more when using a guitar. The guitar work is viscous, and in spots spectacular, production is steady and interesting as are the effects and the vocal work is polished.

“Through Dead Eyes” the title track will definitely ring in some national accalim for these folks. For some reason many critics think having a good hook and strong chorus isn’t feasible or proper for death vocals-- well that is insane and this song is proof. The listener will spend the day screaming "Through Dead Eyes". The cleaner vocals in another stand out track “Take Me As I Am” is also a sign of growth for this band. There are also several straight viscous tracks like "Gravedigger" and that is a must for any metal core fan. I recommend this album and compliment the band on a great sophomore effort.

Key Tracks: Through Dead Eyes, Gravedigger, Thirteen
