Social awareness is one of those hard to handle/understand topics. It’s just one of those things that is hard to promote most of the time especially through music. Bands like U2 and Clash have done things like this. No one really knows how successful the group was and still is. Not every audience goes for that trend basically.
The group by the name Blood Red Sun has more or less jumped on the social awareness through music trend. The album “A Nation Of Saviors” basically promotes that. Me being a hardcore punk/metal fan; I can say this album isn’t really my type but it’s not bad to mellow out to.

The album starts out with “It Gets You Nowhere” and stays fairly constant throughout. The lyrics in the songs don’t stray off from one another by changing subject. Each track says something about society and the world we live in either by mentioning problems or lack of action taken to help prevent some of these ordeals there of. Basically, each song has some kind of message that gets displayed through the music.

In the end, “A Nation Of Saviors” isn’t all that bad. People who really like U2 would hands down enjoy Blood Red Sun. Both bands have a lot in common musically and lyrically. So, if you’re really in to “social awareness” then give “A Nation Of Saviors” a listen.

Key Tracks: It Gets You Nowhere, All At Once, and Here You Are
