The man who co-founded Fear Factory and Brujeria
is back with an uncompromising vengeance. Dino Cazares
is the creator of this vengeance known as Divine Heresy.
Divine Heresy is a trio that took four years to put
together with Dino himself doing guitar and bass roles.
Also in the mix is Vital Remains/Hate Eternal drummer
Tim Yeung and new vocalist Tommy Vext. In the band’s
debut “Bleed The Fifth”, there is nothing
short of astonishment.
The album opens up with the titled song “Bleed
The Fifth” and you hear frighteningly fast drumbeats
and machine gun guitar riffs along with aggressive
and harmonic vocals. Each track on the album is full
of surprises like vocal and riff changes like on the
song “Savior Self”. The track starts out
in an aggressive manner then moves into a harmonic
stage then out of nowhere it explodes back in your
face, picking up where it left off making the change-ups
an awesome touch.
Overall, Bleed The Fifth is a well-orchestrated debut.
Every song has something that puts you in the edge
of your seat. You can tell that Dino Cazares was determined
to make something like he never has before.
Dino said all he needs is a bassist and then the band
can tour to support this album. With all that Bleed
The Fifth has to offer, Divine Heresy should be on
the watch for in years to come especially on Ozzfest
because Cazares isn’t ready to step down.
So if you’re a major Fear Factory or Brujeria
fan, pick this one up because Bleed The Fifth has
everything your ears will need to keep you in tune
to the raw power of Divine Heresy.
Key Tracks: whole album was very impressive!
